We always know that summer has come to an end when school starts.
Ava is starting her first day of Grade 1...she really looks brave and very grown up!!
Joshie celebrated his 4th birthday on September 2nd. He was so happy with his 'John Deer' tractor cake that his mommy made him.
Wow!! What a great cake!!
Happy 4th Birthday, Joshie!!
Elena loved the cake as well, she is already 9 months, she is growing up so fast and sooo cute!!
The end of summer brings Taber corn, and we had lots to share with Mark, his roommate Rodney, Grandma, and Linds, James and Ivy...it was so delicious!!
Mark's birthday was September 13. Lindsay made him a "Cookie Monster" cake. It was so cute and delicious!
Mark was hoping to blow out all those candles in one breath, except maybe one.
Markie loves any hugs he can get from Ivy and this seemed to be his lucky birthday...she just cuddled and cuddled!!
Brookie is now going into Grade Grade 2, she starts school tomorrow.
Grandpa wanted to give her a 'good luck' hug!!
She is sure reading a lot now!!
Cam and D spent their 10th Anniversary camping and fishing the Islands of British Colombia.
They brought salmon and crab back with them and we had a feast on Sunday!
The kids had fun getting the crab meat out of the crab!
Grandma couldn't eat any kind of fish, but she came to visit and brought a TV dinner to eat... we love her!!
Brynnlee especially loved it!
Colby got his first cool hair cut, he is sure a 'ladies man' with that smile and new hair cut!!
He is now walking and starts Nursery on Sunday...yippee!
Brooke and Mckinley are sure becoming best friends. They really miss each other when they are away from each other for very long!
This reunion was so cute!!
The cabin is still making progress...
The labourers, Lindsay and James, putting the Ty-Vek on.
We were really glad they are brave and can handle heights, luckily they were harnessed in!
It just kept getting higher and harder, but they just kept going.
The joys of being young and adventurous!!
Thank you!!
So we finished the Ty-Vek and next step was insulating, so dad put the order in and it came.
He was a little more than overwhelmed when twice the amount we needed was dropped off!
The boys, Jon, Cam, Mark and James joined us for an insulation 'party' this last Saturday.
What fun!!
Jon and James were high in the rafters...
And Mark was 'filling to the ceiling'.
They sure worked hard!
It was a massive project that kept us busy all day!! We calculated we put in over 60 hours of labour that day...we will remember this!!
